As I first watched the trailer for Run All Night in the cinema (a little over a year ago), I saw it as another attempt to ‘revive Bryan Mills’; Liam Neeson’s iconic leading role from the Taken franchise. I’d seen other films (including Unknown) that seemed to attempt the same feat, but with a relatively underwhelming climax.
Mud is one of those films that Amazon randomly recommended to me, along with a list of others, inside an e-mail. Perhaps it was because I’d been renting other titles (Contact) that happened star Matthew McCounaghey. Either way, I was intrigued to see more about this man apparently living in the wild, surviving by his own means.
I’ve found it hard to commit to using my laptop during the past week. I’ve had the time in the evenings but I seem to have been lacking in energy, once all the dishes and cleaned and my clothes have been washed…
But I’m here now, to write about two rented discs that have just been returned to sender only twenty-four hours ago.
